Real Madrid is eyeing a move for Sevilla's 20-year-old right-back Juanlu Sánchez.

Diario AS, a Spanish outlet, reports the club's interest in the player, keen on acquiring a young and promising right-back for their squad.

Sánchez, a product of Sevilla's youth academy, has progressed through all levels of the club. Last summer, he was loaned out to Mirandés, where he showcased decent performances (38 appearances, two goals, five assists).

Upon his return from loan last summer, the defender has become a regular in Sevilla's starting lineup. In the current season, he has participated in 21 matches across various competitions for the team, providing three assists.

Real Madrid shares the top spot in La Liga with Girona after 19 rounds, both accumulating 48 points.

On January 6, Carlo Ancelotti's side is set to face Arandina in the Copa del Rey, followed by a clash against Atletico Madrid in the country's Super Cup semifinal on January 10. Earlier reports indicated that Real Madrid would be without their right-back for the derby, as he succumbed to an injury.
