Real Madrid's right-back Lucas Vazquez has landed in the infirmary. According to the medical report from the Madrid club, the player has been diagnosed with a semi-tendon muscle injury in his right thigh.

The club refrains from predicting the timeline for the return of the 32-year-old Spaniard to action, as it will depend on his rehabilitation process.

Vazquez has been with Real since 2015 when he moved from Espanyol. The transfer fee at that time was a modest one million euros. Since then, the defender has played 331 matches for Los Blancos, scoring 34 goals and providing 60 assists.

In the current season, Carlo Ancelotti has used Vazquez as a rotational player, often coming off the bench. He has participated in 20 matches across all competitions, scoring one goal and providing three assists.

Vazquez joins the injury list alongside David Alaba, Eder Militao and Thibaut Courtois. Real Madrid shares the top spot in La Liga with Girona after 19 rounds, each with 48 points.
