Real Madrid goalkeeper says he will miss Champions League final

Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin has officially announced that he will miss the UEFA Champions League 2023/24 final against Borussia Dortmund.
“I am very sad that I cannot prepare with the team for the most important game of the season and the most important of my life... Thank you very much for all your messages, support, and encouragement,” Lunin wrote on his Instagram.
It was previously reported that Lunin missed Real's last four training sessions due to the flu. As a result, Lunin will not be able to travel with the team but is expected to arrive at the game separately.
In the Champions League final, Real Madrid's goal will be guarded by Thibaut Courtois, who missed most of the season due to injuries but recovered by early May.
After Courtois' injury, Kepa Arrizabalaga, on loan from Chelsea, became Real's primary goalkeeper, but he later lost his place to Lunin. The Ukrainian played in all the knockout stage matches and participated in 31 matches this season, conceding 32 goals and securing 12 clean sheets.
The Borussia Dortmund vs. Real Madrid match will take place on Saturday, June 1, at the iconic Wembley Stadium in London.
