Real Madrid goalkeeper apologises to fans for mistake in Euro 2024 match

Real Madrid and Ukraine goalkeeper Andriy Lunin has apologised to fans for his performance in the 2024 European Championship match against Romania (0:3).
The 25-year-old goalkeeper admitted that he made a mistake in the episode with the first goal conceded. Lunin gave a pass to Dennis Mane, who quickly passed the ball to Nicolae Stanciu, and the latter had already scored with a beautiful long-range shot.
"I want to apologise to all of you. The first goal was my mistake - that's where it all started. Just a technical error that led to such a result at such a tournament...", – said Lunin.
Recall, Lunin in the completed season won the competition with Kepa Arrizabalaga and half of the season was the main goalkeeper of Real. In 32 matches for Real, he missed 35 goals and made 12 clinches.
In the next round, Ukraine will play against Slovakia, which today sensationally beat Belgium 1-0.
