Real Madrid continues to work on the transfer of Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies.

According to insider Fabrizio Romano, the "royal club" is still negotiating the purchase of the Canadian footballer, with new contacts made between the interested parties this week.

However, the "Galacticos" are not willing to pay 50 million euros for the player. The club is looking to complete the transfer only under favorable terms.

Meanwhile, Bayern's offer for a new contract is still on the table — it's now up to Alphonso to either accept it or leave.

Earlier reports indicated that Real's head coach Carlo Ancelotti prefers to strengthen the center of the defense rather than its flanks, so the transfer of the Canadian defender may not happen in the upcoming transfer window.
