Real Madrid have refused to sign a Bayern defender. It is known what caused this

Despite the verbal agreement on the transfer of defender Alphonso Davies to Real Madrid, we will not see the Canadian at the Santiago Bernabéu in the summer.

The fault is the problems of the "whites" in the centre of defence, and, as reported by Relevo, this is what prompted Carlo Ancelotti to work on strengthening them in the first place.
