Real Madrid coach unexpectedly stood up for Barcelona coach

Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti, quite unexpectedly for many, expressed support for Barcelona coach Xavi in light of rumors about his possible dismissal.

As you know, Real Madrid and Barcelona are fundamental rivals, but the Italian still looks at his opponent with respect.

"Criticize Xavi? There is no point in doing that. Xavi, like me, knows football well and faces criticism. Sometimes this happens, but Xavi has the experience to deal with this situation. He knows Barcelona's football philosophy very well, and I believe that he has all the necessary resources to improve the situation,” Ancelotti was quoted as saying by Madrid Universal on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

It is reasonable to mention that earlier the information that Barcelona players had lost confidence in Xavi and did not accept his coaching ideas appeared in the media.
