Real Madrid continues to actively explore the Latin American market, now extending their attention beyond Brazil to Argentina.

According to José Félix Díaz, the editor-in-chief of Marca, Real Madrid is on the verge of signing River Plate's wonderkid Franco Mastantuono.

The Spanish champions are set to pay €25 million for the transfer of the 16-year-old attacking midfielder. Contract negotiations with the player are in their final stages.

Real Madrid has won the race for Mastantuono against Barcelona and Manchester City.

It is known that Real Madrid's head scout, Juni Calafat, personally scouted the talent and strongly recommended the club to sign him.

At just 16 years old, Mastantuono has already played 18 matches for River Plate, scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist.
