In June 2019, the legendary Raúl González took charge of Real Madrid's second team, Castilla. His time with the team is now nearing its end.
Details: According to Marca, Raúl will leave Castilla at the end of this season. He will be replaced by Álvaro Arbeloa, who is currently coaching Real Madrid's U-19 team. However, Raúl will not be leaving the Madrid club entirely.
The Spanish legend has two potential paths ahead. One option is to join the coaching staff of Real Madrid’s first team, as rumors suggest Raúl has excellent relations with Carlo Ancelotti and his assistants. He may also be offered an office role, though the exact position is yet to be determined and requires further discussion.
Reminder: The renovation of Real Madrid's Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, aimed at transforming it into a multifunctional center, has not been well received by residents of the traditionally quiet Chamartín district where the stadium is located.
