Rashford left out of Barcelona’s starting XI for the last match due to lateness
In their previous outing, Barcelona cruised past Getafe with a 3–0 victory, but Marcus Rashford was not in the starting lineup. The reason has now been revealed.
Details: According to ESPN, the English forward was dropped from the starting XI because he was late. On matchday, the squad was scheduled to gather at 9:30, but Rashford failed to arrive on time. He was only two minutes late, yet it was enough to cost him his place in the starting eleven.
Rashford did, however, step onto the pitch in the 46th minute and even registered an assist. He set up Dani Olmo, who scored in the 62nd minute.
It is worth noting that Barcelona are currently playing at the Johan Cruyff Arena due to the long-term renovation of Camp Nou.
Reminder: Barcelona star Marcus Rashford continues to delight the club’s supporters with his performances. After the win against Getafe, he shared his emotions with fans on Instagram.
