Spanish Super Cup Final: Who could have predicted such a score? The current Champions League champions lose 5-2 to their archrivals.

Real Madrid boasts a roster full of superstars, but Barcelona shines more as a team. The Blancos win thanks to individual performances, while the Blaugranas triumph through cohesive play, where each player's movement complements the others. Flick has created a machine; Ancelotti – a stage for improvisation.

Today we witnessed a true festival of stunning goals. We highly recommend watching them. Barcelona fans – enjoy the spectacular victory. Real Madrid fans... future victories await.

Best Players for Barcelona:

Raphinha

4 shots on goal, including 2 stunning goals. 4 key passes, including an assist for Balde. Raphinha was unstoppable – nothing more to say.

Robert Lewandowski

He converted a penalty, won by Gavi, and assisted on Yamal’s goal. Though statistically, he didn’t stand out much more, he caused defenders plenty of trouble with many threatening moments.

Alejandro Balde

After Szczęsny’s red card, Barcelona’s defense had to work much harder. Specifically, Alejandro made 5 defensive actions. It's not the highest figure, but his work across the entire flank, plus a goal, deserves recognition.

Best Players for Real Madrid:

Kylian Mbappé

The Blaugranas couldn't handle Mbappé today. His speed and dribbling skills created both of Real's goals. On the second goal, Mbappé forced Szczęsny into a last-ditch foul. This resulted in a free kick, which Rodrigo expertly converted.

Rodrigo

Rodrigo made 4 key passes, including an assist for Mbappé, and took 4 shots on goal. He also had the most touches in the opponent’s penalty box – 5 (a small number, but it was difficult for Real to break through). And of course, his stunning free kick.

Luka Modrić

Luka came on in the 64th minute. In his 30 minutes on the pitch, he managed to create as many key passes as Rodrigo did in the entire game – 4 (this is no knock on Rodrigo, just praise for Modrić). Additionally, he completed 7 passes into the final third of the field, which was one of the best stats of the game. Modrić definitely added intensity to a game that needed a spark.
