Rangers legend wouldn’t be surprised if Gerrard returns to Ibrox

Some of Steven Gerrard’s greatest managerial successes came during his time in charge of Rangers. Following his recent dismissal from Saudi club Al-Ettifaq, speculation has begun in Glasgow about a potential return to Ibrox.
Details: Former Rangers player Ally McCoist believes there would be nothing surprising or wrong about Gerrard returning to his former club.
Quote: “I wouldn’t be surprised if Gerrard comes back to Ibrox. Obviously, the fans have a lot of respect for him for winning the league title, and his next job will be crucial for him. Things haven’t quite gone to plan since he left the Rangers.
It’s a bit like Frank Lampard moving to Coventry—his next job was also vital for him. So let’s see what Steven decides for his career,” McCoist told talkSPORT BET.
Reminder: Reports previously suggested that Gerrard was being considered for a move to Carlisle United, the bottom club in England’s League Two.
