Steven Gerrard recently left Saudi club Al-Ettifaq, sparking speculation about his next move. However, there is already a club in England willing to bring him back into management.

Details: That club, however, is far from a top-tier side. According to Daily Mail, Gerrard is a target for Carlisle United, the bottom-placed team in England’s League Two. The club dismissed manager Mike Williamson today after a dismal season, collecting just 21 points from 28 matches. Since the start of 2025, Carlisle have lost five of their last six games.

Reminder: Previous reports indicated that after leaving Al-Ettifaq, Gerrard intended to return to Europe. Besides his stint in Saudi Arabia, the former Liverpool midfielder has previously managed Rangers and Aston Villa.
