Raheem Sterling and Tottenham join forces to support hygiene campaign
Raheem Sterling’s Foundation, Tottenham Hotspur, and rugby teams Wigan Warriors and Harlequins have teamed up with the UK’s leading sports broadcasters to support Multibank’s campaign addressing hygiene shortages among youth, Daily Mail reports.
Multibank will run a Christmas campaign aimed at raising awareness about the importance of hygiene and tackling issues related to access to sanitary products.
The initiative has garnered support from major figures in the UK sports scene. Broadcasters like Sky, Prime Video, TNT Sports, and talkSPORT have pledged to promote the campaign during their broadcasts and inform fans about upcoming events.
Tottenham has announced plans to hold a fundraising drive for the initiative among its supporters during the match against Fulham on December 1. Tottenham is the first Premier League club to join the Multibank campaign.
The issue of access to hygiene products remains a significant concern in the UK. For instance, 46% of households consider laundry detergent a luxury item.
