Royal Challengers Bengaluru director Mo Bobat stated that although Dayal will not participate in the IPL 2026 matches, he will remain under contract with the team, which continues to fully support him.
“So, I want to confirm that Yash will not be joining the squad. As you know, he is going through a personal crisis right now, and just to clarify, we have always been very supportive of Yash, and this is reflected in our decision to keep him with the team when we had the option to retain or release players.” - said Bobat.
At present, legal proceedings regarding Dayal's case are ongoing, and if the cricketer is acquitted, he is expected to rejoin the squad on the field.
