Quincy Promes has admitted to stabbing his cousin
Dutch footballer Quincy Promes is currently under investigation, and during a preliminary appeal hearing he made a sensational admission.
Details: According to ESPN, Quincy Promes stabbed his cousin. The incident took place during a family party in Abcoude in July 2020.
The former player accused his cousin of stealing family jewellery, after which a major fight allegedly broke out.
Quote: “In the chaos, Mr Promes stabbed him once,” his lawyers said. According to his legal team, Promes allegedly acted in a certain psychological state and possibly in self-defence.
It is worth noting that Promes had previously been sentenced to 18 months in prison for the stabbing. At the time, the 34-year-old Dutchman denied his guilt. He was also sentenced to six years for involvement in drug trafficking.
