Hani Said, the sporting director of Pyramids FC, has expressed his frustration over the deteriorating condition of pitches in the Egyptian Premier League, stating that they negatively affect players and increase the risk of injuries.
Said made the following statement via the club's media center: "Unsatisfactory pitch conditions hurt clubs and keep spectators from seeing good games. An obvious illustration of this problem is the field at Al Salam Stadium, where we played Modern Sport.
In order to guarantee player safety, he urged league authorities, the Egyptian FA, and the Ministry of Sports to impose more stringent field quality monitoring and establish appropriate criteria. He underlined that the Egyptian League, Africa's oldest league, ought to have better playing fields.
