PSG plans to sign young Brazilian prodigy
Paris Saint-Germain is in negotiations with Brazilian club Corinthians regarding the transfer of the young Brazilian midfielder Gabriel Moscardo. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the discussions are entering a crucial stage.
It is the director of the Parisian club who is working in Brazil. It's noted that the player himself desires to move to PSG.
Previously, there were reports of Chelsea's interest in the midfielder, with an offer of €20 million on the table. However, the Brazilian club aims to fetch a higher sum for the 19-year-old player and might consider a more favorable proposal.
Additional reports indicated that Barcelona, Liverpool, and Arsenal are also keeping tabs on Moscardo.
It's noteworthy that the Brazilian has opted for PSG due to his belief that Chelsea has several midfield options, including Enzo Fernández, Moises Caicedo, Conor Gallagher, Romeo Lavia, Lesley Ugochukwu, Karni Chukwuemeka, and Andre Santos, as reported by Foot Mercato. He fears he might have to compete for a spot, resulting in limited playing time.
Gabriel Moscardo is a product of Corinthians' football academy. He made his debut for the first team on June 28 in a Libertadores Cup match against Uruguayan side Liverpool, and on July 2, he played his first game in the Brazilian Serie A, starting in a match against Red Bull Bragantino.
