PSG has two options to convince Mbappe to stay
PSG still wants their striker Kylian Mbappé to extend his contract with the club, as reported by AS.
The president of Paris, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, and the French striker are not in a hurry to begin negotiations for a new contract. Al-Khelaifi has found two arguments that could influence Mbappé's decision. Firstly, the PSG president wants to exert pressure regarding the upcoming Olympics in France, in which Mbappé wishes to participate.
Secondly, Al-Khelaifi will try to leverage Mbappé's vanity and remind him that he has the potential to become the top scorer in the history of Ligue 1.
Mbappé's current contract with the Parisian club is set to run until the summer of 2024. Mbappé can enter into negotiations with interested clubs in January. It is worth noting that in the summer, the French forward rejected a new contract with the club. It is expected that he will move to Real Madrid at the end of the 2023/24 season.
In the current season, Kylian Mbappé has played 18 games for PSG, scoring 18 goals and providing 2 assists.
