PSG fined for fans' behaviour during Champions League match
UEFA has fined Paris Saint-Germain for the conduct of their supporters during the home UEFA Champions League match against Milan, as reported by Mundo Deportivo.
According to the information, the disciplinary committee penalized the team with a fine of 98,000 euros. The reason for this action was the use of pyrotechnics by the club's fans, blocking passages in the stadium, and pitch invasions. Additionally, UEFA has decided to partially close PSG's "Parc des Princes" stadium for one UEFA Champions League match, conditionally with a probationary period of two years.
For the same match, Milan will have to pay a 23,000 euro fine for incidents in the crowd and the use of flares.
PSG won that match with a score of 3-0. PSG is currently in second place in their UEFA Champions League group with six points. Milan is in third place with five points.
Paris Saint-Germain and French national team midfielder, Warren Zaire-Emery, suffered an injury during the match against Gibraltar.
According to L'Equipe, the 17-year-old footballer will not play for the rest of the year. The player sustained the injury at the moment of scoring a goal. In this game, Zaire-Emery became the youngest debutant for the national team and the youngest scorer. The midfielder suffered an ankle injury, avoiding a fracture but experiencing a severe strain.
