Eden Hazard, who hung up his boots in 2023, has opened up about his chances of joining PSG at certain points in his career.
Details: The Champions League and Premier League winner spoke about his regular contacts with French powerhouse PSG and explained the reasons behind consistently turning down their offers.
I had contacts with PSG every single year. But in my mind, it was very clear. When I left Lille, I told myself: "I wouldn't want to return to France to play for any other club than Lille.
If I ever come back, it will be to play for Lille, to finish my career, for example. For the people of Lille, for the North, I didn’t want to go play for PSG.
It's worth recalling that Hazard spent the early stage of his career at Lille, making 194 appearances for Les Dogues in all competitions, scoring 50 goals and providing 53 assists.
