Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly close to securing Franco Mastantuono’s signing, with a preliminary agreement in place for the 17-year-old to join in 2026. As Doble Amarilla reports, PSG held two meetings in Buenos Aires: one with the player’s representatives and another with River Plate officials.

The plan would allow Mastantuono to stay through 2025 to compete in the Club World Cup and Copa Libertadores.

The move comes at the request of PSG manager Luis Enrique, who has already reached out to the player.

Mastantuono has made 58 appearances and scored 10 goals for River, becoming the youngest scorer in Superclásico history and in Libertadores games for the club. River insists on receiving his full €45 million release clause.

Although Real Madrid showed early interest, the French club now leads the race. Meanwhile, Mastantuono remains committed to River and is set to be called up by Argentina for the June World Cup qualifiers.
