"Prove the whole world wrong". Conor Benn urged Pacquiao to return to the ring

British boxer of first middleweight Conor Benn has called for the legendary Manny Pacquiao to return to the ring.

Earlier, it was reported that Pacquiao can hold an immediate title fight for the belt of the world champion under the version of the WBC in the welterweight division. The opponent of the Filipino should be 29-year-old American boxer Mario Barrios.

“As for a possible Pacquiao-Barrios fight, I think it will be a good fight. I'll definitely be watching, I might even be at ringside.... Of course [Pacquiao deserves the opportunity], he's a boxing legend, a member of the Hall of Fame. People are going to talk about you regardless, good or bad.

What happens if he wins? If he wants to come in and do a George Foreman and win a world title at the age of [45], buddy, go for it. Come back and prove the whole world wrong,” Benn said.

Pacquiao is now 45 years old, 16 years older than Barrios. The Filipino last fought back in 2021 against Yordenis Ugas, losing by unanimous decision of the judges.
