According to media sources, the Al Ahly board of directors is considering returning Mohamed Yasser, who is presently on loan at Czech club Teplice, during the ongoing winter transfer season.
Yasser, who joined Teplice in February 2022, has impressed with the reserve squad, scoring three goals and assisting seven times in 16 games, earning him promotion to the first team. The player, who previously featured for just 17 minutes with Al Ahly’s senior squad in a 2022 league match against Al Mokawloon, could now bolster the team’s attacking lineup alongside Wessam Abou Ali.
Recent medical evaluations confirmed Abou Ali’s full recovery from his recent health scare, while Mahmoud Kahraba’s inclusion in the squad against El Gouna raises questions about his future with the club.
After defeating Smouha 2-0, Al Ahly is looking to win again to keep their league lead as they get ready to play El Gouna at Cairo Stadium tonight. Yasser's comeback may provide the team much-needed forward depth as they go through a difficult transfer window.
