The forward, currently on loan at Monaco from Barcelona, has landed back in the treatment room at the most crucial stage of the season.
Details: Spanish prodigy Ansu Fati has been left out of the squad for tonight’s Champions League playoff first leg against PSG due to a fresh injury setback.
It’s worth recalling that Fati only returned to action last weekend after a calf injury. He featured for around half an hour in the Ligue 1 match against Nantes, but suffered a painful blow to his quadriceps.
This latest knock has proved serious enough for Monaco’s medical staff to rule him out of the crucial showdown against the Parisians.
So far this season, Fati has made 19 appearances for Monaco across all competitions, netting 8 goals in 785 minutes of play.
Reminder: PSG winger Ousmane Dembélé could also miss the match against Monaco due to injury.
