Barcelona returned to their beloved Camp Nou after a lengthy absence, hosting an open training session for fans to test the stadium’s security systems. However, the event was not without its hiccups.
Details: Three seats in the VIP section were damaged. The culprit: a fan who pressed the seat backs down to the floor with his foot, effectively breaking them. Despite the incident, the club continues preparations for the stadium’s official reopening.
The first official match at the revamped Camp Nou is scheduled for late November, with the stadium expected to welcome around 45,000 fans. Two possible dates are being considered: November 22 against Athletic and November 29 against Alavés.
All construction work is set to be completed by 2027, after which the legendary venue will become the largest in Europe with a capacity of 105,000 spectators.
Reminder: The Camp Nou subcontractor faces a hefty fine for fraud.
