Prince William meets England head coach Thomas Tuchel at Windsor Castle
England national team coach Thomas Tuchel had the honor of attending an audience at the Royal Palace for a meeting with Prince William, reports Daily Mail.
William requested a one-on-one meeting with Tuchel and spent over an hour in conversation with the German manager. According to royal aides, Tuchel shared his views on the team since taking charge and discussed his aspirations for the future.
"Great to meet New England men's manager Thomas Tuchel for the first time today, and hear about plans for the team," read a statement from Kensington Palace on social media following the meeting.
Prince William is well known for his love of football and is a dedicated fan of Aston Villa. He has frequently attended matches, including their Champions League clash against Celtic.
Tuchel took over as England’s head coach earlier this year, replacing Gareth Southgate. His first official match in charge will take place next month against Albania.
