London giants Arsenal are ready to offer 27-year-old defensive midfielder Declan Rice a new and improved contract in a bid to keep him at the Emirates for many years to come.

Details: According to sports outlet Topskills Sports UK, the Gunners’ hierarchy are determined to secure the future of one of the team’s key leaders. Although the midfielder’s current deal runs until the summer of 2028, the club’s chiefs want to reward his consistency and reliability well in advance by significantly increasing his salary.

The Red and Whites’ decision-makers view the midfielder as an untouchable figure in Mikel Arteta’s sporting project. The new agreement is expected to extend the partnership between the parties until 2030 and make the England international one of the highest-paid players in the entire country.

It is worth noting that Declan Rice joined Arsenal in the summer of 2023 from West Ham United for a club-record £105 million. During his time at the Emirates, the versatile midfielder has become the driving force in the heart of the team, playing a decisive role in the Gunners’ triumph in the English top flight while remaining a key member of England’s starting XI.
