Premier League player questioned by police over multiple rape allegations

Footballers have increasingly become the subject of sexual assault allegations in recent times. Just as the saga surrounding Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé's alleged sexual misconduct seems to have subsided, another footballer has fallen under police scrutiny.

According to the Daily Mirror, an unnamed Premier League player has been questioned by London police in connection with multiple rape allegations. While the footballer's identity remains undisclosed, it's reported that he is in his 30s.

The investigation focuses on alleged rape incidents between 2021 and 2023. Notably, the player was first arrested in July 2022. He was subsequently questioned twice while under police supervision.

Further, he was arrested a second time in February 2023, this time on suspicion of rape in February 2022. The footballer was questioned again last week in connection with the same case.
