The Rainbow Laces campaign in the Premier League is set to take place very soon, but not everyone is satisfied, with one player having voiced a complaint.
Details: According to The Athletic, a footballer has complained that the Premier League has featured him on the cover of the matchday programme during the Rainbow Laces period for the second year in a row. The player fears this could lead to assumptions being made about his sexuality, specifically that he is being labelled as homosexual.
We have also reported that Premier League clubs spent huge sums during this winter transfer window, and it is now clear that they are the undisputed leaders in terms of spending. English clubs spent an astonishing 689% more than their counterparts in Spain’s La Liga.
Reminder: Manchester City’s hierarchy have come to terms with the fact that their current head coach, 55-year-old Pep Guardiola, will leave the club once his contract expires, and have already begun searching for a suitable replacement.
