Former super featherweight world champion Ryan Garcia has commented on his arrest for vandalism.

The American boxer posted that he is currently in the hospital and urged people to "pray for him."

"I am anxious. I am lying in this strange hospital, and they are trying to give me medicine, keeping me here for an unknown amount of time. They will decide when I can leave. Pray for me, God help me," Ryan wrote on his page on X.

Garcia was arrested in Los Angeles yesterday for vandalism. According to ESPN, Ryan caused approximately $15,000 worth of damage to the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills hotel. He was detained by the police after being dropped off by a driver who then called law enforcement.

It is not yet clear what punishment Garcia might face, but it is expected that more information will be available soon. This incident marks his second controversy in recent months.

After his last fight against Devin Haney in April, Ryan tested positive for ostarine, a substance that enhances athletic performance, on the eve of and during the fight.
