Potential blow? Phillip Ndlondlo becomes a doubtful for Carling final as he leaves the field injured in Marumo Gallants’ 1-1 draw against Magesi FC
The feared factor could be possible for Philip Ndlondo.
Ndlondlo left the Dr Molemela pitch through injury against Magesi FC in a Betway Premiership match as he was replaced by striker Jaison Clifford.
Clifford then became the hero as he netted the equalising goal for Bahlabane Bantwa to earn his side a point.
As expected Alexandre Lafitte did ring changes to his side ahead of next week’s Carling Cup final against Orlando Pirates.
It was not veteran goalkeeper Washington Arubi who was between the sticks for the home side but Kagiso Mlambo.
Mlambo was tested in the 27th minute when Kgomotso Mosadi’s perfectly struck free-kick beat him hands down.
But Clifford’s introduction to the fray for an injured Ndlondlo brought the smile back in Bloemfontein as the striker slotted home after a good combination with Katlego Otladisa just before half time.
The draw will certainly be buffer in their confidence compared to losing ahead of the final next week.
