Possible Wolves transfer: Arsenal target Matheus Cunha
Arsenal are considering signing 25-year-old Matheus Cunha from Wolves in January, according to Football Insider.
Brazilian striker Matheus Cunha has attracted attention with his excellent performances this season, most notably his hat-trick against Chelsea on 4 February 2024, making him the fourth player in Premier League history to achieve the feat at Stamford Bridge.
Despite the Gunners' interest, Wolves are not willing to part with Cunha, which would be a major hurdle for a possible deal. The player joined Wolves from Atletico Madrid two years ago and his transfer was made permanent for £44m in 2023.
Arsenal's interest in the striker is heightened by the injury to Bukayo Saka, who is set to be out for several months after undergoing hamstring surgery. Arsenal , who are second in the Premier League, could look to bolster their attacking options amid their current squad issues.
