Polokwane City coach Phuti Mohafe on Thabang Matuludi: He is one player who deserves to be in the World Cup with Bafana Bafana because he works hard
Thabang Matuludi should board the flight to the World Cup in USA, Canada and Mexico with Bafana Bafana in June.
This is what his coach at PSL side Polokwane City, Phuti Mohafe, said the player deserves.
"The boy is humble and he is working hard, and I'm still saying that according to my perception, he is the second best right back. I'm not surprised that coach Broos is continuously selecting him for the preliminary squads," Mohafe said of his defender’s chances of being with Bafana.
“Those who came in for this match, they did their best and they played well, it's just that we conceded and lost the match but the boys did well."
Matuludi has been a regular feature in Hugo Broos’ national team squads but has missed out on the current camp ahead of Bafana friendly matches against Panama this week.
It is not clear what made the player not make the cut as he was part of the national side which did duty in Morocco during the Africa Cup of Nations.
This is perhaps a sign he should double his efforts to catch Broos’ eye again if he is to make the flight to the global spectacle.
