It seems the situation might be changing regarding Anthony Martial's future at Manchester United. According to the Red Devils' head coach, Erik ten Hag, discussions regarding a new contract have begun between the club and the French forward.

Earlier reports indicated Martial's desire to leave Manchester United in the winter, while the club seemed unwilling to extend their collaboration with the French player.

Martial's current agreement with the club expires in June. In the current season, he has scored two goals and provided two assists in 19 appearances across all competitions.

Martial joined United in 2015 from Monaco for a then-world-record fee of £36 million for an under-20 player.

On January 31, 2019, Martial signed a new five-year contract with Manchester United but was loaned to Sevilla in 2022 until the end of the season. His time at the Spanish club wasn't particularly impressive, scoring only one goal in 12 appearances.
