Planning around Slot. Liverpool do not intend to change head coach

Liverpool have not been at their most consistent this season, and there had been rumours that they could replace their head coach, but it now appears that will not happen.

Details: According to David Ornstein, the Merseyside club have no plans to change their manager in the summer of 2026. They intend to continue with Arne Slot and build the squad around him so he can achieve success.

Quote: “If you look at a number of factors on and off the pitch, it is impressive. I’m not surprised that Liverpool want to give him more time… he will also be an important part of their recruitment plan,” an insider said on The Athletic podcast.

It was previously reported that current Liverpool head coach Arne Slot could soon be dismissed, with 44-year-old Xabi Alonso likely to be appointed in his place.

Reminder: Mohamed Salah has become a true Liverpool legend, but that era is coming to an end and he is expected to leave the club soon.
