Details: According to U.S. Figure Skating, several national team coaches and figure skaters were on the plane, which was traveling from Wichita to Washington.
Quote: "These athletes, coaches, and their family members were returning home from the National Development Camp, which was held as part of the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Wichita, Kansas," the statement read.
The U.S. Figure Skating Championships took place in Wichita from January 20 to 26. Some athletes remained in the city until January 28 to participate in an advanced training program.
