Pitso Mosimane side steps responding to Hugo Broos' criticism of his return to the national side

Pitso Mosimane has decided not to throw a punch back at his predecessor Hugo Broos who is critical of his return to be Bafana Bafana coach.

Broos said the appointment of Mosimane will take the national team backwards to five years ago when he arrived.

Broos spoke about how Mosimane is influenced by club bosses and agents in his squad selection.

When asked what made of Broos' utterances, Mosimane, instead sang praises for Broos.

“I will answer the questions related to my job, which is coaching,” said Mosimane today.

“I think way before I have recognised and praised Hugo Broos for what he’s done, I appreciate the work Broos has done and everyone else has done before my return to Bafana Bafana coach.

“He has laid very good foundations for us, he has done exceptionally well. I’m not saying it today only, I’ve said it before. He has put a good foundation for me.

“I appreciate the work Broos has done and everyone else has done before my return to Bafana Bafana coach.”
