Percy Tau’s ex-club aimed for Ime Okon’s move

SuperSport United ex-defender Ime Okon moved to German side Hannover 96, but the player’s fate could have gone a different way.
Details: According to FARPost, the defender was also tracked by Qatar SC — the club where Percy Tau spent the end of last season. Qatar SC even submitted an offer for the Bafana Bafana international, but ultimately, Hannover 96 won the race to sign Okon.
Reminder: The 21-year-old centre-back was also monitored by Ukrainian champions Dynamo Kyiv, who invited him to their training camp this past winter. However, after spending a couple of weeks in the Ukrainian capital, he returned to SuperSport United.
Tau, meanwhile, provided four assists in 10 matches across all competitions during his stint with Qatar SC. The former Brighton midfielder is currently without a club, and a return to the Betway Premiership appears complicated.
