The legendary Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has delivered an emotional and brutally honest statement, explaining the reasons behind his upcoming departure from the English club.

Details: The Spanish tactician confessed that he is utterly drained both physically and mentally, echoing the fate of his long-time rival Jürgen Klopp.

Pep made it clear that the relentless demands of top-level European football have completely sapped his strength.

“I feel the same way Jürgen Klopp did when he left. My energy is running out. I sense I won’t have the stamina needed to play matches every three days, to keep battling for titles until the end, and to stand in front of the players in the dressing room every single day. It’s been a long 10 years...” Guardiola is quoted as saying by The Touchline.

Pep admitted that during these difficult days, he received support that genuinely brought a smile to his face. The ultimate recognition of his greatness on English soil came in the form of a message from the legend of Manchester’s rival camp — Sir Alex Ferguson.

“One of the greatest compliments I’ve ever received in my life is the message Sir Alex Ferguson sent me two days ago. That made me so happy,” added the visibly moved Catalan.

Reminder: Manchester City have reached an agreement with Nottingham midfielder Elliot Anderson.
