Pep Guardiola Names Liverpool as Top Contender for Premier League Title

Manchester City endured one of their heaviest defeats in Premier League history as Tottenham thrashed the reigning champions 4-0 at the Etihad Stadium. After the match, Pep Guardiola acknowledged that if Liverpool defeats City in the next round, they will become the favorites to win the Premier League title.

Quote. "Yes, that’s true. We are not thinking about winning or losing [the title race]. We’re not in a position to think about what will happen at the end of the season. If we don’t win in the end, it means we didn’t deserve it. We’ve won in the past because we deserved it.

Right now, we need to focus on beating Feyenoord. That’s the most important thing. First, for Champions League qualification, and second, to gradually get the players back into form," said Guardiola.
