Pep Guardiola held an open conversation for Esquire at an event in Dubai
The head coach of Manchester City, Josep Guardiola, engaged with journalists during the Esquire x Newcop event "In Conversation with Pep Guardiola." The Spaniard shared photos from the meeting on his Instagram page.
The event marked the first in the "In Conversation with…" series. The discussion was led by Esquire Middle East's editor-in-chief, Matthew Priest.

Guardiola, who serves as an ambassador for the streetwear and sneaker brand Newcop, answered various questions and shared his thoughts on different topics. He spoke about his career, the players he has coached, and admitted whether he sees himself as a national team coach in the future.
Pep named Leo Messi as the most talented player he has ever coached, but also mentioned legends like Xavi, Andres Iniesta, Philipp Lahm, and others. He stated that he would like to become the coach of the Catalonia national team, but acknowledged that such a thing is unlikely to happen.
The event took place on Monday, March 24, in the open space of Marsa Boulevard, located on the shores of Dubai Creek's historic bay.
