Pep Guardiola has elaborated on Manchester City's new objective
Manchester City's head coach, Pep Guardiola, addressed the team's goals for the season and commented on the recent setbacks faced by the club in the English Premier League.
"Now we go to the shop, buy another book and start to write again.
I have a feeling the job is done. I thought about when we won the Champions League but then I thought 'Super Cup, we don't have it, World Cup, we don't have it'. Now we have everything.
When you don't win, you are nothing. They are waiting around the corner. It is part of the job. If you are in the business of being a football manager, you have to accept people will criticise you just because you don't win. I have felt that since the day we won the sextuple with Barcelona [in 2009]. But that is what is nice. It is OK. We go again and we will see what happens." told Pep for BBC.
Manchester City made history as the first English club to win five trophies in a calendar year, clinching the club World Cup triumph in December. In 2023, City secured the league title, FA Cup, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and the Club World Cup.
Currently, the team finds themselves in fifth place in the Premier League standings. On December 27th, Guardiola's side will face Everton.
