Pep Guardiola has openly criticized England's interim manager Lee Carsley for calling up Jack Grealish to the national team.
Quote: Expressing clear displeasure, Guardiola emphasized that Carsley never consulted him about Grealish’s fitness: "This is Carsley's decision. Grealish hasn’t trained for 17 days. Today was his first session, and he only trained for 20 minutes. That’s the reality."
"I’m not going to stop him from going, but for my team tomorrow, he’s not ready – he can’t play. Over two weeks, he only trained a couple of days, yet the England staff think he can help. Let them go," concluded Guardiola.
Reminder: Grealish was included in England’s squad for the upcoming matches against Greece and Ireland, despite missing almost three weeks of action for Manchester City due to a hamstring injury.
