Manchester United’s owner got embroiled in controversy over his remarks on immigration policy, and now even Manchester City’s manager has weighed in.

Details: According to the Spanish coach, the challenges faced by immigrants or people coming from other countries exist worldwide.

Quote: “The fact that I am Catalan and you are British—what does where we were born really matter? It was our mom and dad, right?

“And we were born there, and I think everyone wants a better life, everyone wants the chance for a brighter future for themselves, their families, friends, or someone else.

“Sometimes opportunities appear where you are born, and sometimes where you might go. And today, when travel used to be difficult, in an hour you can be anywhere.

“When we start talking about skin color or place of birth, it doesn’t matter. We have a lot—so much—work to do. Does being Catalan make me better than you? No.

“My education where I was born, traveling in Mexico, living in Qatar, Italy, England, Germany—it all only adds to who I am. I grew up, met incredible people, traveled, and that’s the essence of it.

“But I don’t feel superior just because I was born in one place and not another. Most people leave their countries because of the problems there, not because we want to go,” Guardiola stated.

Reminder: INEOS released a statement regarding Ratcliffe’s apology, noting his regret that his words had offended some people in the United Kingdom and across Europe, causing concern.
