Pellegrino Matarazzo close to taking charge at Real Sociedad

Real Sociedad continues its search for a new head coach.

Details: According to renowned journalist and insider Patrick Berger on his X social media page, 48-year-old American specialist Pellegrino Matarazzo is the leading candidate for the Real Sociedad managerial position.

This week, Sociedad parted ways with Sergio Francisco as head coach, prompting the club to look for a replacement. Matarazzo has emerged as the main contender for the job.

Currently, negotiations between the parties are at the final stage.

Matarazzo is presently out of work after leaving Hoffenheim in 2023.

During his career, Matarazzo has managed Stuttgart and Hoffenheim, and has also coached the youth teams of Nuremberg and Hoffenheim.
