Barcelona are preparing for their next La Liga fixture, but just days before the match concerns have emerged over one of the team’s key players.

Details: According to Carlos Monfort, midfielder Pedri missed the training session held on Friday, December 19, due to muscle overload. His condition is currently unclear and will be assessed during Saturday’s session on December 20. That session is expected to determine whether he will be fit to feature in the upcoming match.

Barcelona’s next La Liga game is scheduled for Sunday, December 21, when they will travel to face Villarreal. The Catalans currently sit top of the table with 43 points after 16 rounds.

After yesterday’s Copa del Rey Round of 32 clash against Guadalajara, Barcelona head coach Hans-Dieter Flick, together with the club’s management, reportedly managed to identify the traitor.

Reminder: Barcelona is currently involved in legal proceedings related to the Negreira case and recently faced a real threat of being banned from the UEFA Champions League because of it.
