Paulus Masehe's earns his maiden win for Sekhukhune United with a 3-1 win over Chippa United
Paulus Masehe's Sekhukhune United leapfrogged AmaZulu on the Betway Premiership standings follwoing a 3-1 win over Chippa United today.
Masehe's Sekhukhune won the game which was postponed from last night to today as the pitch at Buffalo City Municipality Stadium was waterlogged.
The former Mamleodi Sundowns striker was given the reigns at Babina Noko after they sacked Eric Tinkler earlier this month.
Tinkler was given the boot following the club's acceptance that the third place finish was not a possibility anymore given the grip on it by Kaizer Chiefs.
The Sekhukhune United hierarchy is not satisfied with the fact that the team will not be taking part on the continental competition next season and that's the reason Tinkler was sacked.
Tshepo Mashiloane, Olerato Mandi and Bright Ndlovu scored the goals for Babina Noko in East London while Azola Matrose scored for the home side.
This is the second time Chippa receive a heavy beating after they lost 5-1 to AmaZulu in their previous game.
Sekhukhune's stay on the fourth placed may be short lived as Usuthu are in action this evening against Golden Arrows.
A win for AmaZulu can see them move back to the fourth spot but Masehe and his troops will be hoping they don't.
