The French tactician succeeds Tunisian Maher Kanzari.
Patrice Beaumelle arrives in the Tunisian first division. He officially takes the reins of Espérance Sportive de Tunis following Kanzari's departure a few days ago.
The Tunisian club officially announced the arrival of its new coach this Saturday 21 February 2026. Patrice Beaumelle has signed a contract until June 2027. Previously coach of the Angolan national team, the 47-year-old French tactician is no stranger to African football.
He was Hervé Renard's assistant with the Zambian, Ivorian and Moroccan national teams. His time in Zambia and Côte d'Ivoire was crowned with victories in the 2012 and 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Frenchman has also taken the reins of the Elephants and USM Alger. His experience in African football could be an asset for ES Tunis.
