Paseka Mako move from Orlando Pirates to Kaizer Chiefs was not an easy decision.

The left-back disclosed ahead of this evening’s Betway Premiership match as Chiefs host Golden Arrows at FNB Stadium.

Mako, alongside Thabiso Monyane, shocked the local football fraternity when they left Orlando Pirates for their arch-rivals in Chiefs.

This is because the duo spent almost their greater part of their careers at Pirates and a switch to Amakhosi was something not envisaged.

“What I can say is that it was tough to leave the other side to come this side,” said Mako.

“But now my focus is here at Kaizer Chiefs and as I said I don’t want to look at the past so my main focus is to help this team to go forward and lift trophies.

“I’m professional enough to know I have played for a big team and joined another big team. So in terms of me adjusting I have not changed too much, I’m still the same person I was from my previous club.”

Mako will be expected to play a key role this evening when the face Arrows who are 10th on the standings while Chiefs are fourth with 24 points.

The match starts at 7.30pm.
